FAQ
Short answers to the questions players ask first, and a glossary.
Playing
Is it free to play?
You can play for 1 day for free with a starter bicycle and a rookie. After that, shifts need the one-time pack, about 0.0015 ETH in CONVOY. See Getting started.
Do I have to keep the page open?
No. A shift runs on the server for 6 hours and pays when it ends. You only need the page to start it and to watch. Auto-dispatch can send listed crews out again for you, see Slots and auto-dispatch.
The page asked "Still there?". Did I lose anything?
No. When nothing moves on the page for 10 minutes it stops updating, so a tab left open does not keep asking the server. Your shifts keep running and your earnings keep adding up meanwhile; press "I'm back" and the page catches up at once.
I got "Too many requests". Why?
The game limits how often one account and one network can ask the server, so a script cannot slow it down for everyone. Playing normally, even in a few tabs, stays far below it. If you see it, wait a minute and it goes away by itself.
My vehicle says "Repair used" or "Worn out". What now?
A vehicle gets one repair in its life. Once it is worn out, scrap it for gold and buy a new one. See Wear, repair and scrap.
Why can I not buy something?
Almost everything beyond the starter crew needs the pack, and your site balance has to hold enough CONVOY. Gold cannot buy shop items.
Money
Is the CONVOY token live?
Not yet. The CONVOY token has not launched, and its supply will be shared before it does.
What is the difference between gold and CONVOY?
Gold is the score, made on shifts and kept in the game. CONVOY is the token you deposit, spend and withdraw. See How money moves.
Can I turn gold into CONVOY?
No. Gold only goes the other way: you can buy gold with CONVOY, but there is no way back.
Where does the CONVOY I earn come from?
From what other players spend in the shop, and from what the team puts in the pool. No new CONVOY is made to pay players. See Tokenomics.
Why is my share small?
Your slice is your power divided by the power of everyone on a shift at that moment, and the pool itself is only as large as spending has made it. No account earns more than 10% of the stream, and you earn only while a shift is running. See The live share.
Why am I paid less than my share of the stream?
Every account is paid a base part of its share, and the earning boost raises it to the whole share. The boost reaches 100% in six all-or-nothing steps: total deposits, total spending, holding CONVOY, a day without a withdrawal, and linking X and Discord. The part you are not paid stays in the pool for the following days. It is not taken by the team.
Does withdrawing lower what I earn?
For 24 hours, yes: a withdrawal takes 17% off your earning boost until a day has passed, and it can take the hold part too if it brings what you hold below the mark. What you earned before the withdrawal is paid at the boost you had.
Is the live share a return on what I spend?
No. It is a part of revenue, split by power, and it can be small. Nothing about it is guaranteed.
Why did my claim pay less than I asked for?
A claim keeps 10% in the pot for the players who have not claimed. See Claiming and withdrawing.
How do I withdraw, and what does it cost?
Claim first, then withdraw from the balance menu: at any time, up to 1,000,000 CONVOY every 2 hours, with a 5% fee, and you need the pack.
How do I turn CONVOY into ETH?
Withdraw it to your wallet, then use Sell in the balance menu: it swaps the CONVOY in your wallet for ETH on the CONVOY/ETH pool. The game takes no fee on it; a large sale against a thin pool gets a worse price. See Claiming and withdrawing.
The site says my account is frozen. What does that mean?
The team can freeze an account that breaks the game, for example with bots, a farm of accounts or an exploit. A frozen account cannot start shifts, buy, claim or withdraw, and it leaves the live share at once. It is not ranked in the season, its unclaimed CONVOY is set aside and earns no share of other players' claim tax, and it is paid nothing for invites. Its balance, unclaimed CONVOY, gold and crews stay as they are while the team looks into it, and an unfrozen account gets them all back. If you think it is a mistake, contact the team.
Why did the price of the same item change in CONVOY?
Prices are set in ETH and shown in CONVOY at the current rate. See Prices and the rate.
The game
Is this live on mainnet?
Yes, on Robinhood Chain. It opens in steps, the early access whitelist first, and its settings are still being tuned.
Can I check that the dice are fair?
Yes. Every shift's seed is committed before it starts and published when it starts. See Fairness and security.
Is my balance safe?
Your balance is backed by CONVOY in a vault contract, checked against the books about once a minute, with its own daily cap. You are still trusting the game to keep the books right. See Proof of reserves.
