How money moves

Two currencies, one pool: where CONVOY comes from, where it goes and what stays in the game.

Convoys has two currencies and one pool. Gold is made by playing and stays in the game. CONVOY is the token: players spend it, and what they spend is what the live share pays out. This page follows one CONVOY from deposit to withdrawal. The numbers for each stop are in Tokenomics.

A CONVOY's journey

  1. 1
    It is deposited
You send CONVOY to the vault. The same amount appears in your site balance. From here on, nothing needs your wallet.
  2. 2
It is spent in the shop
A pack, a vehicle, a level, a slot. The price is cut into shares: most goes to the live share pool, some to the season pot, some is burned and some goes to the treasury, depending on what you bought.
  3. 3
The pool streams a tenth of itself a day
At the start of each day the pool fixes 10% of its balance. That amount runs out second by second to the accounts that have a shift on the road, split by their power. See The live share.
  4. 4
It lands in your unclaimed balance
It ticks up while your shift runs. It is yours, but it waits until you claim it.
  5. 5
You claim it, then spend it or withdraw it
A claim keeps 10% back for the players who have not claimed yet. A withdrawal to your wallet costs 5%. See Claiming and withdrawing.

All of it sits in one vault contract and is counted in one ledger. The reserves page adds the rows up and compares them with the vault, live.

What never leaves the game

Gold is the other half. Shifts pay it, the season ranks by it, a vehicle's one repair and your company are bought with it, and gold packs sell more of it for CONVOY. There is no way back: gold never turns into CONVOY, so playing for gold cannot drain the pool. See Gold.

Why the share can be small

The stream is a tenth of the pool, and the pool is refilled only by what players spend (and what the team puts in). If spending slows down, the daily amount shrinks with the pool. It never reaches zero by itself, because each day pays a tenth of what is left, but it can get small. And it is shared with everyone on a shift at the same moment.
