Slots and auto-dispatch

Run more crews at once with shift slots, and let listed crews go back out by themselves.

Shift slots

A slot is room for one crew on the road. Every account has 1 free slot. More are bought with CONVOY, each one for good, up to 8 in all. Each costs more than the one before: the price doubles for the first few and climbs more slowly after that.

  • Slots need the pack. Open the next one from the slot bar in the garage or from the shop's Items tab.
  • A slot gives no power. It does not wear out, so it is not something that is still working in the sense that power means.
  • A slot's price is split like an item: 60% to the live share pool, 10% to the season pot, 10% burned and 20% to the treasury. So every slot bought feeds everyone's stream.
  • The stream pays your account once, with all of your power, as long as any shift of yours is running. More slots do not multiply your share. They let you make more gold and keep more of your fleet at work. See The live share.

Auto-dispatch

Auto-dispatch is an item from the shop: 0.0025 ETH for 7 pool days, priced in CONVOY at the current rate. While it runs, crews on its list go back out by themselves when their shift ends.

  • Build the list in the garage. Each entry is a vehicle, a courier and an intensity. The list holds at most one crew for each slot you have.
  • It uses your slots. An automatic shift takes a slot like one you start yourself. If a slot is busy with a crew you sent by hand, the listed crew waits for it.
  • A crew stays on the list until you take it off, or until its vehicle has made its last drop. Taking a crew off lets the shift on the road finish and then stops.
  • A used-up courier waits for a new one. A courier wears out long before a big vehicle does, so when it makes its last drop the crew keeps its place on the list and shows Needs a courier. Pick a free courier on its card (or load the vehicle with one in the bay) and it goes back out.
  • A broken vehicle waits. It stays on the list but does not go out until you repair it. A vehicle has one repair in its life and that is your call, so it is never spent for you.
  • Back out within a minute of the previous shift ending. Buying it again adds to the time left. When it runs out, crews wait on the list and leave as soon as you have it again.

The server picks the seed for an automatic shift, because nobody is there to. That is slightly weaker than a shift you start yourself, see Fairness and security.
